5 Series B MSO (4 Flex Channels / 500 MHz)
The 5 Series MSO offers better visibility into complex systems by offering four, six, and eight-channel models with a large 15.6-inch high-definition (1,920 x 1,080) display. Many applications, such as embedded systems, three-phase power electronics, automotive electronics, power supply design, and DC-to-DC power converters, require the observation of more than four analog signals to verify and characterize device performance and to debug challenging system issues.
5 Series vs 5 Series B
Tektronix now offers the 5 Series B MSO with several enhancements over the original Series 5.
New features include
- New auxiliary trigger input that lets users synchronize the oscilloscope to an external signal without consuming any of the 4, 6, or 8 full-capability input channels
- Maximum frequency for the optional, built-in arbitrary/function generator increased from 50MHz to a best in class 100 MHz
- A faster processor makes controls even more responsive and will support additional, more complex measurement analysis in the future
- History Mode leverages the 5 Series B's extended memory, allowing users to capture thousands of triggered events and easily review them to find events of interest
- Solid State Drive System ensures all user data is stored on a removable drive. For secure labs where measurement data integrity is mission-critical
